J&K Police organizes Drug De-Addiction awareness seminar in Srinagar | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNO): J&K Police in Srinagar have organised a Drug de-addiction awareness (Seminar & Play) under Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025-2026 at Govt. Higher Secondary School Mujgund, Srinagar. According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the programme was attended by SP City West Srinagar Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS, SDPO West Bemina Majid Mehboob-JKPS, SHO Police Station Shalteng/ Parimpora and Incharge Police Post Qamarwari. Around 300 students from GHSS Mujgund and other nearby schools participated enthusiastically in the event. The Principal of GHSS Mujgund, Dr. Aijaz Ahmad, Advocate Javaid Iqbal, Molvi Suhail Ahmad, and local residents of the Mujgund area were also present on the occasion. They addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the participants while highlighting the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of a drug-free society. They have appreciated all the winners/ participants in the said event. Apart from above, the prizes of cash reward of Rs. 9000/-, Certificates/ Momentous were awarded to the best performers and other participants to encourage and motivate the youth. J&K Police reiterated its commitment to engaging with students and the community to create awareness about social evils and to promote a healthy, drug-free society through proactive initiatives under the Civic Action Programme—(KNO)
